Imogene “Jean” Irene Lee, age 89 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday November 6, 2018 at Heartland of Marion.
Jean was born on March 1, 1929 in Marion, the daughter of Clifford and Margaret (Overly) Bowman.
On March 28, 1948, Jean was united in marriage to her soulmate, James Lee, III. The couple shared 66 years of until he preceded her in death on December 25, 2014.
Jean was a devoted homemaker her entire life. She and James enjoyed traveling the United States. She was an active member at the Marion Senior Center and organized trips and got members wherever they needed to go.
Jean is survived by her children: Kathy (Jerry) McManus of Lubbock, TX and James Lee IV of Blacklick, OH; grandchildren: Paul (Mai) Gerlach, Brian (Michelle) Medley, Eric (Heather) Medley, Brandon Lee and Evan Lee; great grandchildren: Catelyn, Deric, Hannah, Elsie Jean and Dakota Medley.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Lee, III; daughter Karen Smith; and her brother Richard Bowman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Snyder Funeral Homes, DENZER Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion from 1PM to 2PM; Funeral services will immediately follow at 2PM; Burial will be in the Chapel Heights Memorial Gardens.
