Fahey Bank has announced the January Athletes of the Month for 2013 are Hannah Dunham of Ridgedale and Tyler Barlow of Pleasant.
Hannah Dunham is a sophomore swimmer for the Ridgedale Rockets. She is a repeat winner of the Fahey Bank Athlete of the Month award as she also earned the honor last year. Hannah swam in 7 meets in the month of January and captured 15 first place finishes. Hannah wins came in a variety of races, as she captured first place in the following six events during the month: 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle, 100 Fly, 200 Individual Medley, and the 100 Breaststroke.
Honorable Mentions were Allison Belcher of Pleasant, Jace Wolf of Elgin, Shania Byrne of Marion Harding, Abby Guinther of River Valley, and Paxton Flugga of Marion Catholic.
Tyler Barlow, of Pleasant, is the Male Athlete of the Month. Tyler, a senior wrestler, had an undefeated month of January. He finished the month 10-0, which included winning the 170-pound championship in the Sally George Invitational and at the North Union Wasserbeck Classic. Tyler was also awarded the Sally George Invitational’s Outstanding Wrestler Award for his outstanding performance in the invite.
Honorable Mentions were Raymond Raimo of River Valley, Alex Anderson of Ridgedale, Jonathon Stoltzfus of Marion Harding, Kyle Hall of Elgin, and Zach Langley-Maddy of Marion Catholic.
