Fahey Bank has announced the March Athletes of the Month for 2013 are Abby Guinther and Raymond Raimo. Both students compete for River Valley High School.
Abby Guinther is a repeat winner of the Fahey Bank Athlete of the Month Award. Abby scored her 1000th point for River Valley this basketball season. She led her team in 3 point percentage, points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. Abby was 1st team MOAC, 1st team District 11, and 2nd team D2 Central District.
Honorable Mentions were Cassie Hosp of Pleasant, Dezaray Hay of Elgin, Katie Meadows of Ridgedale, Shania Byrne of Harding, and Paxton Flugga of Marion Catholic.
Raymond Raimo is the March 2013 Fahey Bank Male Athlete of the Month. Raymond won 81.5% of his bouts this year. Raymond wrestled in the 113 pound weight class and was named the team’s Most Valuable Wrestler for the season. Raymond placed first in the MOAC, the Nelsonville York Invitational, the Archbold Tournament, and the Bender Duals Tournament.
Honorable Mentions were Cole Cocherl of Elgin, Alex Anderson of Ridgedale, Trey Kinney of Marion Harding, Ryan Maniaci of Pleasant, and Lane Flowers of Marion Catholic.
