Toledo jumped ahead in the second with a rally. James McCann was hit by a pitch to start the inning and Mike Hessman doubled to have a pair in scoring position with no outs. Jordan Lennerton came through with a two-run single.
Luke Carlin stayed hot in the third. After a one-out single by fellow catcher Dusty Brown Carlin, the DH Sunday, hit a double and a run scored. The Clippers tied the game on an infield RBI single by Giovanny Urshela.
The Mud Hens jumped right back out with a solo homer to start the bottom of the third by Brandon Douglas. A pair of doubles by Andy Wilks and Tyler Collins made it a 4-2 game. Two more scored on a two-run double by Lennerton.
