Easter Eggs-Travaganza for Marion Goodwill
Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm, bluefusion entertainment, 1340 Mt. Vernon Avenue in Marion, is hosting an Easter Eggs-Travaganza as a community event with Marion Goodwill Industries. Families and kids of all ages are welcome to participate in all the activities planned for the event, including photographs with the Easter Bunny, crafts, and prizes.
Local Girl Scouts Teaming Up With Goodwill for a Good Turn
Area Girl Scouts are expected to take part in Good Turn Day 2012, on Saturday, March 24, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Local scouts will collect donations and volunteer at eight Goodwill sites in Marion, Delaware, and Union counties.

Twenty years ago, the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) gave people with disabilities better access to goods, resources and services, including job opportunities.
While people with disabilities have made great strides since this landmark civil rights law was signed on July 26, 1990, this group of Americans still has a higher than average unemployment rate at more than 14 percent, and they make up just about 22 percent of our workforce, compared to nearly 71 percent of people without disabilities.

Marion Goodwill’s 20th Annual Wheel-A-Thon is Saturday, May 15th at the Tri-Rivers Career Center parking lot located at 2222 Marion-Mt. Gilead Road. For 20 years now, the event has welcomed all members of the community to show their support for Goodwill and their mission to assist individuals with disabilities and other barriers find employment.
