League of Women Voters of Marion’s monthly program meeting, Recycling in Marion – What’s New?, will be held at the Goodwill corporate offices, 340 West Fairground St., Thursday, November 20, 6:00 p.m. With the ever-pressing need for communities and individuals to engage in recycling efforts, League urges residents to attend this informative event.
President/CEO Bob Jordan and Marketing Director Kathy Wink will conduct a tour of Goodwill’s recycling operation, which will be followed by speakers Jenna Hicks, DKMM Director (Delaware, Knox, Marion, Morrow Solid Waste District), and Sims Brothers Recycling Vice-President Jeff Clark. Special guests Deb Ralph of Sims Brothers and Angela Carbetta of Marion Recycling and Litter Prevention will also be present.
To arrive at the meeting/tour location, drive past Lincoln Park on West Fairground Street and continue for a short distance to the Goodwill building with the sign on the ground, not the building with the sign high up in the air.
