David Franklin Smith, age 62 of Marion, passed away on Monday evening April 9th, 2012 at Marion Point Nursing Care Center.

He was born March 13th, 1950 in Marion as the son of the late F. H. & Dorothy (Adams) Smith.

Wayne N. Cox, age 66 of Claibourne died unexpectedly Monday, April 9, 2012.

He was born November 13, 1945 in Fayette County to the late Clark Collins and Mary Athlanda (Daines) Cox. He was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Frances Naomi Kemp, age 94 of Somersville died Monday afternoon, April 9, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Union County.

She was born February 6, 1918 in New Holland to the late James Edward and Frances (Shipley) Anderson.

James “Jim” Corbin Miley, of Marion, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 7, 2012.

Jim was born on September 29, 1919 in Kent, Ohio to Vivian Ruth Corbin and Carlton L. Miley.  He grew up in Waldo and Marion, graduating from Marion Harding High School in the class of 1937.

Leah Rigby, age 84, of Marion, died peacefully on Monday evening, April 9, 2012, at the Primrose Retirement Community of Marion.

Brenda S. Kuba, age 60, of Marion died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at OSU Medical Center.

Brenda was born September 13, 1951 to Luther C. and Avanelle (Walsh) McDaniels in Crestline, OH.

On August 7, 1970, Brenda married Allen E. Kuba who survives.

Shirley Jerew, age 75 of Richwood died Friday morning, April 6, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

She was born January 18, 1937 in Richwood to the late Scott and Sylvia (Evans) Beeney.

Helen M. Young age 88 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Heartland of Marion.

She was born May 7, 1923 in Marion to the late Virgil and Frances (McGuire) Altenberger.

Helen was married twice. First to Warren Wise who passed away in Marion in 1982, and then she married Ralph O. Young, Sr. on November 13, 1993 and he survives.

Gladys V. Smith Clark, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012.  For over fifty years, she resided at 365 South Grand Avenue in Marion.

Velma Kay Beddow, age 41 of Caledonia died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Marion General Hospital after a lengthy battle with diabetes and other illnesses.

She was born October 30, 1970 in Marion to the late Carl and Pam (Rush) Mounts.

On March 10, 1998 she married Richard E. Beddow in Marion and he survives in Caledonia.
