Francis H. Merritt, age 94, of Morral, died peacefully on Friday afternoon, March 16, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness.

On February 27, 1918, Francis was born in Marion County, one of five children of the late Garfield and Dora (May) Merritt.

Gerald LeRoy Rasey, age 90, of Marion passed away early Saturday morning at Marion Manor Nursing Center.

Born in Big Island Township on October 2, 1921 to William and Edna (Zimmerman) Rasey, he married the former Marilyn Louise Hedges who preceded him in death in 2004.

Marvel L. Zachman Smith, less than four months shy of living a century, died peacefully Thursday evening, March 15, 2012, at Heartland of Marion.

On July 2, 1912, Marvel was born in Coshocton, Ohio, one of two children of the late Henry and Ida (Stingel) Fett.  She graduated from Coshocton High School in 1930.

Luther L. Laughrey Jr., age 82 of Grove City, formerly of Richwood died late Thursday evening March 15, 2012 at the Mill Run Nursing Home in Hilliard.

He was born March 19, 1929 in Richwood to the late Mildred Laverne (Debolt) and Luther L. Laughrey Sr. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lucas Lee Laughrey, and two brothers, Alfred and Gail Laughrey.

Winifred Lucille “Dub” Miller, age 90, of Marion and formerly of Waldo, went to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, March 15, 2012, at the Kingston Residence of Marion.

On May 17, 1921, Winifred Lucille was born at home in Waldo, the second of five children of the late John and Gertrude (Augenstein) Ward.  As a child, her younger brother Jim could not pronounce her name and called her “Dub”.  From that moment on, “she was known to friends and family as ‘Dub’.”

James Craig Combs age 57 of Marion, Ohio, passed away Wednesday March 14, 2012 at his residence.

He was born July 25, 1954 in Marion to James C. Combs and Nancy (Whitehead) Dilsaver, who both survive in Marion. He is also survived by his step-mother, Doris Combs.

Winifred Lucille "Dub" Miller, age 90, of Marion and formerly of Cardington, died peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Kingston Residence in Marion.

Robin R. Harrison age 46 of Marion passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.

Born August 2, 1965 in Marion to Kenny and Donna (Noggle) Hill who survive.

Lowell D. Mack, age 91, of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Monday evening, March 12, 2012, at Heartland of Marion following a several month illness.

On July 27, 1920, Lowell was born at home on the family farm, one of three children of the late William Thomas “W.T.” and Cora Louise (Click) Mack.

H. Frank Quibell age 89 of Green Camp, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012.

He was born May 12, 1922 in Watford, England to the late Harold and Lilly (Ratcliff) Quibell.
