Jerry R. Porterfield, 73, Marion, passed away on July 6, 2010 at his residence.

He was born on March 15, 1937 to the late Robert C. and Udah (Bilger) Porterfield in Marion, Ohio.

Jerry graduated from Claridon High School in 1955 and married his wife, Marilyn (Rose) Porterfield on September of 1957. He retired in 1998 with 43 years of service with the Erie and ConRail Rail Road.

John Angelo Maniaci passed away July 5, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital at the age of 70.

He was born on April 16, 1940 in Marion to the late Anthony John and Eleanor Marie (Caserta) Maniaci. On April 22, 1999 on Bellefontaine Island at Indian Lake he married Sheila Borham.

David S. Reynolds, 55, who recently passed away at his home on June 28, 2010, is remembered by his many friends and family as a compassionate, empathetic man who loved Marion, American and European history, politics, flying and his four legged “kids.”

Rev. Harold M. Holmes, age 86 of Delaware returned to his Heavenly Savior on Sunday, July 4th, 2010 surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 10, 1924 in Willard to the late Howard and Marjorie (Sparks) Holmes, one of eleven children.

Beverly Jean Bish, age 77, of LaRue Prospect Rd. S. and recently of Primrose Retirement Community, Marion, went to Heaven on Saturday July 3, 2010 at 9:00 PM at Heartland Rehabilitation Center.

She was born October 5, 1932 on True Ave. in Marion to the late Herman E. and Opal M. (Henry) Hinton.

Wayne L. Cox, age 62 of Richwood died unexpectedly Saturday morning, July 3, 2010 at Marion General Hospital.

He was born February 12, 1948 in Kenton to the late James Ruby and Berdina Opal (Kerns) Cox.

Emma Jane Bumgarner, age 88, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, formerly of Waldo, died July 1, 2010 at the Jennie Melham Hospital in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

She was born August 30, 1921 in Delaware County to the late Bert and Leona (Evans) Morris. Emma married Otis Earl Bumgarner on October 13, 1940 and he died October 13, 2000. Emma later moved to Broken Bow to be near her son and daughter-in-law.

Pamela Sue Hinaman, 63, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, June 30, 2010, at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Born August 28, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harold R. Brisker and Thelma J. (Buckner) Brisker.

Janice A. Witzel, age 70, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 1, 2010 at her home.

She was born to the late Irene and Earl Fleming on July 17, 1939.

Wilda Mary Simpson died at the Marion Community Health Center June 30, 2010 at age 94.

She was born Wilda Mary Walker to Reverend Sheridan Tenney and Iva Mae (Horn) Walker in Huntsville, Ohio on July 20, 1915. Her only siblings, two brothers, died tragically before reaching adulthood.
