Patrol Warns Against Drunk Driving This Weekend
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding drivers to not get behind the wheel impaired this Memorial Day weekend. Troopers will be working alongside local law enforcement officers in an effort to have a weekend free of impaired-fatal crashes.
Commissioners Approve Parking Lot Paving
The Marion County Commissioners Thursday approved a bid to pave a parking lot at the Beidler Center, part of the Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony Set For Monday
The annual Memorial Day parade and ceremony will take place on Monday, May 31. The day will begin with the parade at 10:00 am in downtown Marion. That parade will go south on Main Street and end at Marion Cemetery.
Lincoln Park Pool Opens For Summer
Lincoln Park Pool opens for the summer season on Saturday, May 29, at 1:00 pm. The pool will then be open daily 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. weather permitting.

Marion Sheriff Part of Increase Holiday Patrols
Marion County Sheriff Tim Bailey says deputies will be conducting a traffic enforcement blitz to correlate with the "Click It or Ticket" campaign. Extra patrols will be working over the Memorial Day weekend to ensure the safety of our community during weekend activities.

New Immunizations Required For 7th Graders
Under guidelines established by the Ohio Department of Health, Marion Public Health is reporting that all students entering the 7th grade in the 2010-2011 school year will be required to have a booster dose of the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccine prior to the start of the new school year.
