Orville J. Decker, age 84 of Kenton and formerly of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday evening April 6th, 2012 at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 6, 1928 in Hepburn, Ohio as the son of the late Orville T. and Georgia (Dunson) Decker.

Denise Marie Knickel, age 55 of Prospect died Friday morning, April 13, 2012 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 20, 1956 in Marion to the late Richard Walter and Ruby Elizabeth (Simpkins) Knickel.

Garry A. Casto, age 66, of Cardington, passed on April 10th, 2012, at Harding Pointe Nursing Home after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

A man of faith, he sought to serve the Lord in every area of his life.  He was a member of Gilead Friends Church and had served in many areas including Sunday School Teacher, Elder and Building Committee Chairman to name a few.  His favorite position was Sunday Greeter.

Leah Rigby, age 84, of Marion, went to be with the Lord late Monday evening, April 9, 2012, at the Primrose Retirement Community of Marion following an extended illness.

On May 6, 1927, Leah was born in Minerva, Ohio, one of two daughters of the late Jesse and Daisy (Roberts) Hyatt.  She graduated from Minerva High School in the Class of 1945.

Bernard W. “Barney” Young, age 64, formerly of Marion, went to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon, April 8, 2012, at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Florida following a brief and unexpected illness.

On September 14, 1947, Barney was born in Marion, the only son of four children of the late William D. and Alice L. (Wade) Young.

David Franklin Smith, age 62 of Marion, passed away on Monday evening April 9th, 2012 at Marion Point Nursing Care Center.

He was born March 13th, 1950 in Marion as the son of the late F. H. & Dorothy (Adams) Smith.

Wayne N. Cox, age 66 of Claibourne died unexpectedly Monday, April 9, 2012.

He was born November 13, 1945 in Fayette County to the late Clark Collins and Mary Athlanda (Daines) Cox. He was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Frances Naomi Kemp, age 94 of Somersville died Monday afternoon, April 9, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Union County.

She was born February 6, 1918 in New Holland to the late James Edward and Frances (Shipley) Anderson.

James “Jim” Corbin Miley, of Marion, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 7, 2012.

Jim was born on September 29, 1919 in Kent, Ohio to Vivian Ruth Corbin and Carlton L. Miley.  He grew up in Waldo and Marion, graduating from Marion Harding High School in the class of 1937.
