Students from Heritage Christian School in Marion helped celebrate Arbor Day by planting a tree and learning about ethanol at POET-Marion.
The students learned about ethanol and how it is produced and helped plant the tree outside the plants administration building.
The students were given a packet of information about POET, the ethanol industry, renewable resources, tree planting, and how all of these things affect the environment. The students were also given a tree sapling to take home and plant for themselves.
There were approximately 37 students and teachers that participated in the day.
