After losing their first attempt at an earned income tax, Pleasant Local Schools are regrouping and working to decide their next move. While another levy is certain, the exact nature of that future levy must still be determined.
Pleasant Superintendent Steve Larcomb says that meetings are planned over the next week with administration and the school board’s finance committee to discuss what, if any, reductions will need to be made to staff and services.
Larcomb says that while a decision has not be made, he does not expect to be on the ballot during the August Special Election, but says he would not be surprised to be back on the ballot for the November General Election. The details of any future levy have not been determined at this point.
