MARCA Industries Holding Community Green Day

RecyclingThe Document Destruction Division of MARCA Industries, Inc. is reminding everyone to “Reduce, Recycle, and Restock” during their Community Green Day on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

As part of the event, MARCA will be offering document destruction, recycling of paper, an electronics drop off (TV’s are $15), and help restocking of Marion County food pantries for the needy.

Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the world. In an effort to educate and aid the public concerning the growing problem of identity theft, MARCA is sponsoring this event to destroy up to 100 pounds of paper for any Marion County resident. In exchange for this service they are asking residents to donate nonperishable food items to help restock local food pantries.

Items that are acceptable for shredding include bank statements, canceled checks, canceled credit cards, credit card statements, debit card numbers, drivers license numbers, employment information, insurance policy information, signatures, Social Security numbers, tax records, and telephone numbers.

MARCA Industries holds regular recycling hours Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
