To celebrate Earth Day 2014, Sims Brothers Recycling is making it easy to show off your green – and get more green, too. Starting Monday, April 21st, when customers bring in their scrap metal into any Sims location in Marion, Delaware, Columbus and Bellefontaine, they will receive cash, Sims Savers Reward points, and a free Earth Day T-shirt (one per customer while supplies last).

“There was a time when going green was a vague concept few people understood.Today, it’s a different story,” said Nick Van Meter of Sims Brothers Recycling. “Environmental stewardship is everyone’s responsibility, and it’s why we celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd.”

Customers will also receive special Earth Day pricing for their recyclable metals all Earth Day week, April 21 thru April 26, 2014. Nonferrous metals (like aluminum, copper and brass) will bring an extra 5-cents per pound, and ferrous metals (iron and steel) get an extra 10 dollars per gross ton.

Every year on April 22, over a billion people in 190 countries take action for Earth Day. Locally, Sims Brothers Recycling says they are proud to raise awareness on behalf of the environment. For more tips on how to reduce your environmental footprint by recycling, visit www.simsbros.com.
