bluefusion Celebrates 2nd Birthday with Fundraiser

bluefusion entertainment is celebrating their second year of business. The family entertainment center opened their doors in August of 2008.

To celebrate bluefusion is throwing a birthday bash on Saturday, August 14th from Noon to 6:00 pm. The celebration will take place in the Marion Plaza Parking lot as well as inside at bluefusion.

New Store Hopes to Spread the Christian Word

A new store opened recently in downtown Marion and hopes to meet the needs of long-time Christians, those newly finding their way, and those that are yet to come.

Scott Blackford has been promoted to president of TODCO in Marion, Ohio. The announcement was made by Dennis Stone, president and CEO of TODCO’s parent company, the Overhead Door Corporation.

Free Shredding at Marion Credit Union

Marion Community Credit Union is sponsoring a Community Shred Day on Saturday, June 12, 2010 starting at 8:30 a.m. and running till noon at the credit union’s branch at 300 Barks Road East.

There is no cost for this service and it is available for MCCU members and non-members alike. The shredding will be done by Sharp Shred LLC and will be secure and certified.

Marion Restaurant Helping Out Park District

The Marion County Park District and The Warehouse restaurant, 320 West Center Street, have partnered in a fund raising effort to raise local matching grant funds for the new Marion Tallgrass Trail.

Credit Union Raises Funds For Miracle Network

Marion Community Credit Union raised $1,985 toward the Ohio credit union statewide fundraiser, Marching Miles for Miracle Kids, to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network and the eight children’s hospitals serving Ohio. The event as a whole raised $110,000 this year, bringing the four-year total to $370,000.

Students from Heritage Christian School in Marion helped celebrate Arbor Day by planting a tree and learning about ethanol at POET-Marion.

Open Interviews For Full-Time Whirlpool Jobs

Marion County Job & Family Services, in partnership with Kelly Services, is conducting open interviews for full-time production/assembly positions with Whirlpool’s Marion Division.

The interviews will be held on Tuesday, April 27, from 1:00pm to 7:00pm at First Church of the Nazarene, 233 West Church Street in Marion.

Minimum qualifications for the positions include:
