Nashville Duo Performing Free Marion Concert

Nashville duo Jenny & Tyler will bring their unique fusion of Jazz, Rock and Soul to Marion Friday (April 16) in a 7:00pm concert at Central Baptist Church, 2816 Marion-Waldo Rd., Marion.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Known for their percussive guitar, soaring vocals and tight harmonies, Jenny & Tyler have produced two albums wrapped in a sound one fan dubbed ’soulgrass’.

Impact Ministry Featuring Live Music

Victory Center Church of God is kicking off a new ministry for youth and young adults called Impact. The group will meet on the fourth Friday of each month and the first meeting is April 23.

The evening begins at 7:00pm and will feature Jeff Stout Outbreak Ministry, Rapper Rob Edler Yup Movement, and Worship with Kris & Meg.

Organizers promise fellowship fun, worhsip, and free refreshments. A love offering will be taken.

German A Cappella Group Returns To Marion

The Ohio State University at Marion Campus Activities Board, in cooperation with campus a cappella group InChant and Great Lakes vocal band 4 THE RECORD, welcome students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community to Morrill Hall Auditorium on the Marion campus, 1465 Mount Vernon Avenue, to experience the rich harmonies of internationally renowned a cappella music sensation vocaldente, Friday, April 16, 7 p.m.

High School Jazz Bands To Take Palace Stage

The Smithsonian Museum launched Jazz Appreciation Month in 2001 as an annual event that pays tribute to jazz both as a historic and living American art form. It has since grown to include celebrations in all 50 states and 40 countries.

The Marion Palace Theatre has plans to join the celebration with “And All That Jazz,” a concert featuring performances from several area high school jazz/swing bands including Pleasant, Mt. Gilead, Colonel Crawford, River Valley, and Harding’s Stardusters.
