"Set The Stage" Theatre Camps offers area youth the opportunity to become involved in the arts as part of the theatre's summer program.  Registration deadline is one week before camp begins, but spaces fill quickly and the Palace encourages those interested to register early.

Palace Theatre Set to Present “Annie”

The Marion Palace Theatre will stage the award-winning Broadway musical "Annie "for five performances.  Show dates are scheduled for July 14, 20, and 21 at 8:00 p.m. and July 15 and 22 at 2:00 p.m.  Ticket sales begin Monday, June 4 at 9 a.m.  Patrons are encouraged to order tickets early for the best available seating.

Palace Theatre Seeking Volunteers

Wednesday, June 20 at 5:30pm in the Palace Theatre May Pavilion, Palace volunteer board member Tyler Pigman will meet with potential Palace volunteers during an orientation session.  The Palace hopes to build a volunteer corps with people ranging from juniors in high school to retirees that wish to give back to the community.

“The Pirates! Band of Misfits” to Play at Palace Theatre

The creators of "Chicken Run" and "Wallace & Gromit" have teamed up to bring a new animated adventure to the big screen."The Pirates! Band of Misfits" is described by as a story about a Pirate Captain who sets out on a mission to defeat his rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the year Award. The quest takes Captain and his crew from the shores of Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London. This film is appropriate for families and rated PG for mild action, rude humor and some language.

Palace Theatre, Humane Society Team Up to Promote “Annie” Musical

The award-winning Broadway musical Annie will be performed on the Marion Palace Theatre stage July 2012. Preparation began early for the fun-filled musical adventure when the role of Annie's dog "Sandy" was cast with the help of the Marion Area Humane Society.
