James B. Stanley, 64, of Marion

James B. Stanley, 64, of Marion, died early Sunday morning, April 29, 2012, at Marion General Hospital with his wife, Nancy, by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Howard and Bernice Stanley; brother, Charles Stanley; two sisters, Theresa Stanley and Janice (John) Barnhill.  Survivors include his wife, two sons: Ken (Betsy) Stanley of Westerville, and Kevin Stanley of Marion; two grandsons: Tyler and Travis; two sisters: Gaye (Marvin) Buckingham of Medina, and Marlene Haught of Columbus; plus many nieces and nephews.

Barbara A. Powers, 64, of Marion

Barbara A. Powers, age 64, of Marion, died Sunday evening, April 29, 2012, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness.

James Benjamin Kensler, 90, of Marion

James Benjamin Kensler, age 90, of Marion, died Sunday April 29, 2012 at 2:45 AM at Heartland of Marion.

He was born July 5, 1921 in Apple Grove, West Virginia to the late Benjamin and Minnie (Ball) Kensler.

On March 11, 1944 he married Eunice L. Crabtree and she died December 19, 1982.

John J. Short age 75 of Marion, Ohio passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at Marion General Hospital.

He was born January 22, 1937 in Marion, Ohio to the late John J. Short and Virginia (Williams) Short-Howison.

On December 28, 1956 he married Barbara S. (Fruth) Short.

Ronald J. Rainey, 70, of Marion

Ronald J. Rainey, 70, of Marion, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Marion General Hospital.

Ron was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 30, 1941 to Joseph and Mary (Marshner) Rainey.

He graduated from North Royalton High School in 1960 and Kent State University in 1965, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education.

David “Mark” Young II, 44, of Marion

David “Mark” Young II, age 44, of Marion, died Thursday evening, April 26, 2012, at Partners of Marion following nearly a year battle with brain cancer.

On May 25, 1967, Mark was born in Marion General Hospital, the son of the late David Mark and Cheryl (Eakins) Young.  He was raised in Marion and graduated from Marion Harding High School.

Michael Robert McKiernan, 68, of Marion

Michael Robert McKiernan, Marion: “When you come to Heaven one day, don’t look for me at the gate. I won’t be on the streets of Gold, or at the Jasper Wall. Just keep walking straight through all the beautiful angels. I’ll be the one knelling at my dear Jesus' feet.” These are the sweet comforting words Mike left us with.

Edwin Earl “Eddie” Gulliford, 79, of Green Camp

Edwin Earl "Eddie" Gulliford, age 79, after several years of declining health, passed away at his home in Green Camp. He is now with our Lord and has no more pain, only peace. Eddie lived in this area all of his life.

He was born January 1, 1933 in Marion County to Clarence and Marjorie (Seckel) Gulliford. His father preceded him in death; his mother, at age 99, survives.

Ruby Jane Richards, 75, of Marion

Ruby Jane Richards age 75, died in her home on April 24, 2012.

She was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on December 25, 1936 to Roy and Roxie (Collinsworth) Adams.
