Two Community Gardens Available in Marion Area
For those looking to grow their own garden this year, at least two Marion groups are offering space. The Marion Community Garden is holding their official opening day on Saturday and the Marion Family YMCA has already kicked off their first ever community garden. The gardens in the area do not stop with these two organizations as more and more people are coming together to create their own gardens.

The Marion Family YMCA is offering an Adapted Aquatics Swim Lesson program for the summer of 2012. The Y’s Adapted Aquatic program is specifically designed for students with special needs who need a smaller teacher-to-student ratio and skills that can be adapted to meet their individual needs.

Police – All Four Home Invasion Suspects Now in Jail
After an extensive investigation, the Marion Police Department says the fourth and final suspect involved with the home invasion and stabbing at a Monroe Street residence, which occurred on April 30, is now in custody. Those arrested are also suspects in other armed crimes in Marion.

The Marion Police Department says they arrested a 20-year-old man this week following a lengthy investigation of a home invasion that occurred on April 30, 2012 which resulted in the stabbing of an elderly man.
