The Harding Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will present an Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon and Seminar from 11:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesday, April 24, at TRECA, 100 Executive Drive. Students Square Off Using Brain Power at National Robotics Challenge in Marion

Robotic teams of young people, aspiring engineers representing elementary, middle school, high and post-secondary schools, will converge with 350 robots to compete in 12 categories at the National Robotics Challenge (NRC) being held on April 12-14 at the Marion County Fairgrounds Veteran Memorial Coliseum in Marion, Ohio. Over 1,000 kids from 72 schools will be competing.
Dixon Named MGH Physician of the Year

In recognition of National Doctors’ Day, Kathy D. Dixon, MD, family practice physician, was chosen by Marion General Hospital associates as MGH Physician of the Year for 2012. A media release stated, "Dr. Dixon’s unexpected death this past December was a loss felt by our hospital and our entire community."

City Council Debates Possible Impact of Reducing Tax Credit

Marion City Council members disagree on the possible impact of reducing a tax credit for those people who live within the City of Marion, but work in other cities. Some members believe there will be few people that choose to move out of the City, while some feel many people will move, which will result in a spirally downturn for the community.
