Auditor’s Office Issues Reminder About Dog Tags
The Marion County Auditor’s Office has issued a reminder that all dogs 3 months of age or older must have a 2012 dog license, which are $16 per dog. Stating July 1st all dogs 3 month of age or younger can get a dog tag for half price $8.00.
New Deputy Wardens Hired at Marion Dog Pound
The Marion County Commissioner approved the hiring of two deputy dog wardens for the Marion County Dog Pound. This fills two positions that had been vacant for some time as the facility was run by the Dog Warden Amie Adams.
Hired, at an hourly rate of $11 per hour, were Matthew Severns and Andrew Howser with a starting date of July 6. The two will be subject to a 120 day probationary period.
New Marion County Dog Warden Appointed
The Marion County Commissioners on Thursday appointed Amie Adams as the new Marion County Dog Warden.
Adams has been with the Dog Warden’s office for several years and has been acting as the interim warden since the retirement of Jane Watts. Watts retired effective April 7.
