Police Seeking Suspects in Early Morning Home Invasion

Marion Police DepartmentThe Marion Police Department is seeking three suspects they say committed a home invasion early Tuesday morning. Officers responded to a home in the 800 block of Robinson Avenue at 12:59am Tuesday for a report of a home invasion that had just occurred.

Officers said they found that three men armed with handguns had entered the home through a window and assaulted the 23-year-old resident. They took the victim’s handgun and an undisclosed amount of cash and left the residence on foot.

Officer Mark Elliott and his canine “Six” were called in to assist in locating the suspects, but they were unable to be found.

Police are describing the suspects as follows:

  • Suspect 1: A black male wearing dark clothing.
  • Suspect 2: A black male 5’9”-5’10” 130-150 pounds with short dreadlocks wearing a black hoodie.
  • Suspect 3: A white male 6’5-6’7” 200-225 pounds with dark hair wearing a grey hoodie.

All three suspects were described as being in their late teens or early 20’s.

The resident was treated by the Marion City Fire Squad and was not transported to the hospital.
