Wood joins Alber Enterprise Center

Carla Wood recently joined the Alber Enterprise Center as an Information Associate. Currently, Wood is creating a database that tracks projects, merges documents, and reports relevant information about processes and deadlines for the Alber Enterprise Center.

Wood’s position will be partially supported through the earnings of Alber Enterprise Center and funding from Ohio State University Extension.

Wood analyzes processes, builds databases, enhances and automates processes that eliminate redundancy and inaccuracy.  She develops and delivers training for all levels of employees in basic computer skills, basic and intermediate Microsoft Office products, effective minute taking, presentation skills, and flow charting. Wood’s expertise in efficiently managing databases will streamline the Center’s administrative processes.

As an innovator, Wood said she has a lifelong thirst for knowledge. She earned her Associates Degree in Psychology at the University of Phoenix. She is a Certified Microsoft Outlook Specialist 2007, and a recipient of Columbus State Community College’s Training & Development certificate (e.g., Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). In addition, she has an extensive background in Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.  Currently, she’s pursuing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
