Gene Ivan Wood, age 45 of Marion, Ohio, went to sleep on April 15 and went to Heaven to meet his Mother, Carol Wood and Sister, Michelle Hall in Heaven on April 16, 2015.
Gene was born September 12, 1969.
He is survived by his father, Syriel G. Wood, Jr. and brother: Rick Wood (Robin Knipp), sister: Margaret Meachem, brother: Mike Wood, sister: Linda Price, Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, And lots of In-Laws.
He is also survived by Many Friends, Neighbor Mr. Clonch and Friends from Marca Industries, Bridges to Independence, Signature of Galion, Heartland of Marion, Marion General Hospital, Lisa Vanhouten, and Aimee Warner.
Besides his mother, Carol Sue Layton Wood, Gene was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Wood Hall, paternal Grandparents, Syriel G. Wood, Sr. and Gladys Wood and maternal Grandparents, John and Irene Layton.
Gene loved his Family, #1, And his Many Friends, And Gene was a very Easy Person to Love back. Gene also loved his OSU football team, the Many baseball caps he possessed, School buses that took him to work, and All Big trucks from friends who took him for a ride. Don’t let me forget his country Music..lol. Thank You everyone, Who have been involved in Gene Wood’s Life.
Funeral Services will be at the Trinity Baptist Church, located at 244 S. Main St. Marion, Ohio, on Thursday April 23, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Officiating the service will be Pastor Dr. Richard Farmer and Pastor Josh Davidson. Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Friends may call at the church two hours prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
