Marion Goodwill’s 20th Annual Wheel-A-Thon is Saturday, May 15th at the Tri-Rivers Career Center parking lot located at 2222 Marion-Mt. Gilead Road. For 20 years now, the event has welcomed all members of the community to show their support for Goodwill and their mission to assist individuals with disabilities and other barriers find employment.
Local Students Awarded Over $90,000
Marion Community Foundation has announced its 2010 Scholarship Program awards — more than $91,000, in 89 scholarships, to be given to 74 local students. This represents an increase of $40,000 in awards over last year.

Annual Radiothon To Raise Funds For Red Cross
The WMRN/WYNT American Red Cross Radiothon, a live, 12-hour, on-air fundraiser, will be held on Thursday, May 13th. The 10th annual event, a major source of funding for the local Red Cross chapter, will be held from 7:00am to 7:00pm and will be broadcast live on WMRN AM 1490 and WYNT Majic 95.9 FM.

Auditions Set For Summer Musical at the Palace
Director Clare Cooke and artistic team members George Schram, Kristi Wink and Johnny Steiner announce auditions for the Palace Theatre’s summer musical Guys & Dolls.
Those interested may audition on Saturday, May 22 & Sunday, May 23. Auditions are from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. each day on the main stage. Participants should enter through the front theatre doors.
