Open Enrollment Begins at Pleasant

The Pleasant Local School District Open Enrollment for the 2012-2013 School Year will begin on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 8:00 a.m.  Applications, available in the Administrative Office, 1107 Owens Road West, Marion, will be accepted until Monday, June 25, 2012.

Pleasant School Board Makes Painful Cuts

A group of concerned parents, students, and residents attended the Pleasant School Board meeting Monday, May 24. While passionate speeches were made, board members said the cuts had to be made to make up for shortfalls in the budget. Without new money, school officials warn the next round of cuts will be even worse.

Over 16 Positions Could Be Cut At Pleasant

The Pleasant Board of Education discussed multiple cuts to teachers and programs during a meeting on Monday, May 17. The Board will meet again on Monday, May 24, to make the final list of cuts and vote on the measure. The moves are expected to save over $750,000 during the next school year.

Threat Causes Lock Down At Pleasant High School

Pleasant Schools Superintendent Steve Larcomb issued notices to parents on Monday that a student reported a threat that was made against the school and that the campus had gone into a standard lock down.

Pleasant Holding Open Enrollment

The Pleasant Local School District Open Enrollment for the 2010-2011 School Year has begun. Applications will be accepted until Monday, June 28, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.

Applications will be available in the Administrative Office, 1107 Owens Road West, Marion, Ohio. All application/enrollment material must be obtained from the office of the Superintendent.
